Overview

At Jovian Car Rental, we strive to provide excellent service and flexible options for all of our customers. This policy outlines the terms under which cancellations and refunds may be requested.

Cancellation Policy

1. Free Cancellation: You may cancel your reservation for no charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
2. Late Cancellation Fee: If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, a fee equivalent to one day’s rental cost will be charged.
3. No-Show Policy: If you fail to pick up the car at the scheduled time without notifying us of cancellation, you will be charged the full amount of the reservation.

Changes to Reservation

Changes to the reservation time, date, car type, or duration are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Any changes should be made at least 24 hours before the original scheduled pick-up time to avoid extra fees.

Security Deposit

1. Deposit Requirement: A security deposit is required for all rentals to cover potential damages or incidental charges. The amount of the deposit will vary based on the vehicle type and rental duration.
2. Refund of Deposit: The security deposit will be refunded to the original method of payment within 30 days after the vehicle has been returned, pending an inspection to ensure no damages or violations occurred during the rental period.

Early Return

If you return the vehicle earlier than the scheduled return date, the rental charges will be recalculated based on the actual rental duration. Please note that early returns may not result in a refund if the recalculated total equals or exceeds the original amount.

Late Return

A grace period of 2 hours is provided for late returns. Beyond this period, late returns will be charged at a rate of $50 per hour up to a maximum of an additional day’s rental charge.

Refunds

Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 7 to 10 business days depending on your bank’s processing time. Any refunds are subject to the terms of this cancellation policy.

Non-Refundable Charges

1. Insurance and waivers are non-refundable once the rental period has begun.
2. Prepaid reservations may be partially refundable depending on the time of cancellation relative to the pick-up date.

Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, civil unrest, etc.) affecting your rental, we will offer a voucher for the full value of the rental for use at a later date, subject to availability.
